An unintended expatriate blogger behind Aero Moon Quill

Hello, I’m Ana

Project manager and parent, living abroad as an expat in Madrid, Spain.

A couple of years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.

How It Started

Moving to Spain wasn’t in the plan for the long run. Just like many expat relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.

The early months were intense — unfamiliar systems, routines, and expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complicated than expected.

The Adjustment Period

Culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning characterized that time. Yet gradually routines settled in. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt stable.

Why I Built Aero Moon Quill

Most online resources were either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.

This site aims to bridge that gap by offering practical advice drawn from real life in Spain.

What This Site Stands For (And What It Isn’t)

This site is:

  • Practical know-how from living in Spain
  • Centered on family life and day-to-day realities
  • Updated whenever a real change occurs

This site is not:

  • Not an official tourism resource
  • A platform for sponsored reviews
  • An ordinary travel blog

Looking Forward

Our time in Spain continues, and so does the learning process. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.

If you have questions about family life in Madrid or anywhere in Spain, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Best wishes,

Ana
